RD-21 Desert Combat Rampage Review

A nice display figure which is fragile to the touch in bot mode - the extra jackhammer function seems to have been installed at the cost of a solid robot mode as the rear legs and bucket are fragile due to the single clip holding them in place which has a tendency to detach from the main body due to the weight.

Dozer mode is nice with a lot of detail, the tracks are solid but sadly dont roll and rotate with the vehicle moving on 4 small wheels instead.

We'll mark this one 2 ways 7.5 / 10 for an adult display model - 5/10 for play value.

Henkei Crystal Convoy Review.

This figure was one of the first in the Classics / Henkei line and opinion appears to be split on him, some people feel he is bland whilst others like us really really like him. The figures Alt mode is pretty awesome and is a good rendition of a generic american style truck with smooth lines all over and no obvious kibble apart from the canopy which can be removed in bot mode if desired or left attached.

The articulation is fantastic with points at the shoulder, pivoting elbows, hips and knees, there is also waist articulation and the head can be swiveled 360 without clanking into something.

If there is one thing that detracts from this figure its the panels on the forearms, sometimes you find yourself wishing they weren't there but its a minor niggle - in closing this is a personal fave and scores a mighty 8/10.

G1 Punch / Counterpunch Review.

Well what can we say, he's one of our fave G1 bricks but that sadly is just what he is. Articulation is limted to just the arms which pivot back and forth at the shoulder, elbow in autobot mode and static in Decepticon mode with some side to side movement which doesnt aide display or play value. The plus point and they are big plus point to this toy are the fact he stands in a group with one other TF which is the Powermaster Doubledealer and that he is solid and resembles his G1 cartoon self very well consdering the difference's seen between some toys and their cartoon incarnations.

In Closing Punch is solid and a worthy addition to your collection - we score him 6/10.

THS-02 - What we think.

We'd give THS-02 a solid 3 out of 5 , its a wonderful piece of engineering but sadly the truck mode lets it down, dont get me wrong its fine when attached to the trailer but standalone its weak. The transformation is also very fiddly with the waist connector frequently popping off leaving you with a Prime in 2 parts however as you can see from the pics he makes up for it in sheer detail and accessories.

The figure itself is robust in bot mode made of diescast and plastic with the matrix chest compartment being a highlight. The gun is faithful to the comics and cartoon with the added ability of being able to have the hilt flipped around allowing it to be mounted on roller.

The trailer section is excellent and very sturdy with opening doors and fold out ramp, there is just enough room for a legends class figure or roller to be stored in the rear, the trailer is also a storage area for the alternate fists / hands with 2 trays for storage either side.
