www.kapowtoys.co.uk Power Core Smolder verdict
Power Core Combiners seem to be a throwback to the days of Armada and Energon, now you can view this as good or bad, having had one in hand we would say its a good thing as it means the return of the minicon. A few things have suffered with the power core line and it seems to be the general aesthetic, however the combiner feature ups the fun factor enough to compensate. As a stand alone figure Smolder is nicely articulated and transforms into a firetruck which is always a winner, in power core combined mode he looks awful, the robot is just too big to combine with the 4 drone appendages and its just looks a little weird however kids will love them, we score Smolder and Chopster 6/10.

www.kapowtoys.co.uk Henkei Dark Skyfire Review
One of our fave molds gets a new paint job! - we're big Skyfire fans having wanted a figure that resembled the G1 toon version ever since the 80's so the original Classics version was awesome, this version is 5th repaint of the figure including Henkei Skyfire, Botcon Dreadwind, Treadbolt and the Original figure, its as you were really with no changes to the toy apart from the bad boy black paintjob and Decepticon insignias, we'd score him 7/10 and probably place him in the shattered glass universe rather than the regular classics-verse.
www.kapowtoys.co.uk War for Cybertron Optimus Prime review
We would score Optimus a good 7/10 , he has a nice look to him, good proportions apart from the thighs which look a tad slim. He is a bit of pain to transform with the upper body panels being fiddly. There is lots of articulation in all the joints including the waist however it can be hindered by his large cod piece thing that clips over this area in bot mode.
